Tony Khan Teases “Major Announcements” For AEW
Tony Khan is teasing some more “major announcements” coming soon for AEW fans.
All Elite Wrestling is run by the family of billionaire Shahid Khan with his son Tony Khan in the role as AEW’s Owner, President, General Manager and booker that also owns Ring of Honor. Tony Khan is a lifelong wrestling fan that is living his dream of owning a wrestling company.
Something that Tony Khan has been known for during the first four years of AEW is for making major announcements. Tony has also been criticized for it because sometimes those major announcements have been considered letdowns to some fans.
On Twitter, Tony Khan was at it again
“This is one of the best weekends of the year: AEW Revolution, Sunday in San Francisco + Friday Night #AEWRampage & then Countdown to Revolution TONIGHT on TNT!”
“2023 will be the biggest year yet for AEW, I have major announcements coming soon that are important to AEW & our fans!”

As you might expect, a statement like that can lead to a lot of guessing ranging from AEW TV deals, CM Punk potentially coming to AEW, Mercedes Mone wrestling for AEW, the official launch date of AEW’s video game and numerous other things.
What it actually means is anyone’s guess at this point, but with AEW Revolution set to take place this Sunday on pay-per-view, perhaps a “major announcement” is coming this weekend with more to come according to Tony Khan.
The current eight-match lineup for the AEW Revolution PPV on Sunday looks like this.
* AEW World Championship 60-Minute Ironman Match: Maxwell Jacob Friedman (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
* Texas Death Match: Jon Moxley vs. “Hangman” Adam Page
* TNT Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Wardlow
* Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starks – Everyone is banned from ringside.
* AEW Trios Championships: The Elite (c) vs. House of Black
* Fatal 4-Way Match for the AEW Tag Team Championships: The Gunns (c) vs. The Acclaimed vs. Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal vs. Orange Cassidy & Danhausen
* AEW Women’s Championship: Jamie Hayter (c) vs. Saraya vs. Ruby Soho
* No Holds Barred Match: “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. Christian Cage
As Tony Khan alluded to above, AEW Rampage is live tonight, so there could be more matches added to the Revolution lineup.
