Tony Khan Makes Live AEW Change Due To Fan Backlash
Tony Khan is for the sickos and he took fan reaction into account as he made a major change during the live broadcast of Dynamite Beach Break.
At Dynamite Beach Break, Mina Shirakawa made an instant splash as she pinned Toni Storm to win the title eliminator match, booking her shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship. Immediately after the match, it was announced that the title match would take place at Double Or Nothing on May 25.
The winner of that bout will likely clash with the winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament for the gold at All In Texas. The final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will see Mercedes Mone clash with Jamie Hayter.
But fans were not thrilled when Mina Shirakawa made her debut as an official part of the AEW roster for one very big reason.
Tony Khan Makes Music Switch During Live Show
Shirakawa’s trademark music was gone and replaced with a new track that did not go down well with fans. When Mina Shirakawa won the match, however, it was her old, familiar music that hit.
Tony Khan responded to one fan on social media complaining about the change in music, noting, “I already switched it back.” Khan was clearly listening to fan reaction while producing the live show, as he also indicated that the social media reaction was why he made the change.
I already switched it back #AEWDynamite
