Tony Khan Tries To Keep It Classy In Cutthroat Wrestling World

Tony Khan Smiling AEW

Tony Khan has discussed his approach to the wrestling business as the AEW boss tries to uphold his reputation for honesty in the murky world of pro wrestling.

Tony Khan changed the wrestling business forever when he put his money where his mouth was and founded AEW in 2019. Since then Khan has clearly spent big to bring some of wrestling’s top stars such as Bryan Danielson, Mercedes Mone, Adam Copeland, Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and even CM Punk into his company.

Despite that, Khan is seen as wildly polarising in the business with fans either loving or hating his unique approach to the business. However, the man himself feels he has a reputation to uphold and there are some lines he won’t cross.

Tony Khan Wants To Be A Fair Businessman

Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Tony Khan was asked about potentially bringing in stars from WWE to AEW and noted that he wants to be a fair businessman in a business that can be anything but:

I don’t want to try to tamper and do those things. I try to keep it classy and I really have a reputation for honesty and I really want to be a fair businessman. The wrestling business is a really cutthroat business.

Khan would not be drawn when Becky Lynch’s name was brought up as a potential target but did agree that she was a great star.

Becky Lynch’s WWE contract is believed to be expiring on June 1st with a new report noting that Lynch is believed to be taking an extended hiatus from the wrestling business.
