Tony Khan Gives AEW Tag Team Brand New Name

Tony Khan has bestowed an unexpected new name on one tag team in AEW.

AEW is currently seeing a tournament take place to crown the company’s first-ever Women’s Tag Team Champions. Eight teams started the tournament, but one was forced to find a substitute due to injury.

That saw the Death Riders’ resident Problem enter the fray as Marina Shafir joined forces with Megan Bayne. Bayne and Shafir progressed from the quarter finals of the tournament at the expense of Anna Jay and Tay Melo, and have looked like a solid unit.

Bayne and Shafir led their squad to victory in Blood & Guts with Shafir locking Mina Shirakawa in Mother’s Milk while Bayne whipped the Japanese star with a title belt, causing Toni Storm to surrender the match.

Storm and Shiarakawa won a four-way match at Full Gear, featuring all of the semi-finalists, meaning that they could pick the stipulation of their semi-final bout. Toni Storm demanded a death match with Bayne and Shafir that will take place on the December 3rd edition of Dynamite.

Tony Khan Promotes AEW Dynamite

Now, taking to social media, Tony Khan has promoted his upcoming show in his trademark fashion and appears to have given Bayne and Shafir a new team name as he referred to them as the MegaProblems:

As Tony Khan noted, three matches will also take place on Dynamite in the Continental Classic. Kyle Fletcher meets Kevin Knight, Kazuchika Okada faces PAC, and in a battle of the Death Riders, Jon Moxley goes one-on-one with Claudio Castagnoli.
