Tony Khan Getting Off Over Keeping AEW Secrets As He Closes Ranks

Tony Khan has closed ranks at the top of AEW as he gets off on keeping more secrets from more people in the company.

Despite assertions otherwise during the existence of AEW, Tony Khan has always had final say over the creative direction of the company. During the media scrum for Double Or Nothing, Khan noted that he feels his company now has a more consistent product as he has fewer voices giving him input over creative ideas.

But who has been cut out, who is Khan still listening to, and why has he closed ranks?

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about Khan’s comments and noted some of the names still part of his inner circle:

I don’t know, he’s closed ranks, but I’m really not sure who’s not in there that was in there before. They have Jen Pepperman, sometimes Bryan Danielson, QT [Marshall], a few others. It’s smaller.

Tony’s getting off on the idea of nobody knowing stuff. The guys that need to know are the production people because when you miss finishes, that’s never a good thing when you’re on TV.
