Tony Khan Dispute Won’t Stop Ex-WWE Star Going To AEW

Despite past issues with Tony Khan, a former WWE star is open to signing with All Elite Wrestling.

On February 7th, WWE released multiple stars in a round of roster cuts. One of the stars to be let go was former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander. In the months since his release, Alexander has dropped hints at becoming All Elite and reuniting with his former allies in The Hurt Business, now known as The Hurt Syndicate.

One potential stumbling block for Alexander is the way his wife, Big Swole, departed Tony Khan’s company back in 2021. After her departure, Swole criticised the promotion’s lack of structure and diversity, among other issues. In response, Khan hit back at the claims before claiming he let Swole’s contract expire as he “felt her wrestling wasn’t good enough.”

Now, Fightful Select has reported that Swole’s past issues with Khan aren’t a hurdle for Alexander heading to AEW. The report also notes that it would “take a lot more than that for a bridge to truly be burned there.”

Cedric Alexander Wants To Explore Unfinished Chapter Of His Career In AEW

In a recent interview, Cedric Alexander made clear that he is open to reuniting with The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. The star feels that chapter of his career in WWE was “never fully explored” and wants to finish it out.
