Tony Khan Comments On Jade Cargill After WWE Signing

Jade Cargill Tony Khan AEW

Tony Khan wishes Jade Cargill well in the next stage of her wrestling career.

Following weeks of rumours, it was confirmed on September 26th that Cargill is the newest WWE signee and the latest major name to make the jump from AEW to WWE.

Later that day, Khan hosted a media call ahead of the first-ever WrestleDream pay-per-view on October 1st. With the news of Cargill’s signing still a hot topic at the time of the call, the President of AEW was asked about the former TBS Champion.

Khan credited Cargill for the amazing run she had with the company and stated that the door is always open for a possible return:

“I have only positive things to say about Jade, she’s always welcome here. She had a great run with us, and has a great career in front of her. Wishing her nothing but the best for the future.”

Tony Khan Takes Shots At Recent WWE Cuts

The news of Cargill’s arrival in WWE comes less than one week after multiple wrestlers and office staff were let go following the merger with The Endeavour Group. Khan would point out the differences between WWE and AEW on the call, describing his promotion as “a family business” and “not a public company.”

One of the matches announced for WrestleDream is the long-awaited dream match between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr., which was originally scheduled for Forbidden Door 2022 but had to be changed due to Danielson being injured. The replacement was a debuting Claudio Castagnoli. Khan has described the upcoming match between Danielson and Sabre Jr. as “A dream come true.”
