Tony Khan is determined to keep hold of his biggest stars.

After deciding to walk away from WWE after six years with the company, Ricochet landed in AEW at All In on August 25, 2024.

Although he was initially a babyface as he had been in WWE, the star began to show a much cockier side of his character throughout the Continental Classic. This eventually led to a full-fledged heel turn, and many now believe Ricochet is turning in the best work of his career.

Tony Khan Believes Ricochet Has Taken AEW By Storm

In a new interview with Superstar Crossover, Tony Khan opened up about the process of turning Ricochet heel, and just why he’s taken the company by storm. Khan explained that it’s his job to create an environment to get the best of Ricochet, who he believes is one of the best characters in wrestling.

“He’s fantastic. He’s an incredible wrestler. He’s also a great talker and he has a great personality, and it’s about giving him an opportunity to showcase that…

He’s building one of the best characters, I think in wrestling, which is the villain Ricochet that we see on TV right now. He’s one of the most compelling and interesting people in wrestling, in my personal opinion.”

Khan went on to say that Ricochet had done a fantastic job, adding that he hopes he stays with AEW forever.

“He’s done a fantastic job with it. I’m incredibly impressed with him. I’m proud that AEW has Ricochet on our roster for years to come — and hopefully forever because that guy’s a star. I love working with him and I think [Ricochet] is one of the best wrestlers on the planet right now and going forward.”

Ricochet was most recently in action on the April 30 edition of Dynamite, where he teamed with Kazuchika Okada and The Young Bucks to defeat Kenny Omega, Kevin Knight, Mark Briscoe, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
