Tony Khan Says AEW Star Will Be Featured Heavily In 2024

Tony Khan is predicting big things for one of his rising stars.

2023 was something of a breakout year for Daniel Garcia as the star firmly established himself as someone to watch in the future. His dancing gimmick and impressive in-ring skills won over fans and he delivered a number of eye-catching performances in the Continental Classic, even if that didn’t always translate into victory.

On the January 3rd episode of Dynamite, Garcia met Swerve Strickland — who has enjoyed his own impressive run recently, in the main event. As predicted by many, it was Strickland who grabbed the win as he continued his march towards the AEW World Championship. However, Garcia again impressed in a high-profile position.

Addressing the crowd after the show, Tony Khan said that fans will be seeing a lot of Garcia in 2024. The comments were captured by fans and posted on social media.

Tony Khan Signs Deonna Purrazzo To AEW Deal

The January 3rd episode of Dynamite also saw the AEW re-debut of Deonna Purrazzo. The star came to the ring to confront Mariah May who had just enjoyed her own successful in-ring debut for the company. Purrazzo told May to send a message to Toni Storm, only to get slapped in the face by the English star. The former IMPACT Knockouts Champion quickly fired back, standing tall at the end of the segment.

Purrazzo has now officially signed with the company.
