Tony Khan Claims AEW Locker Room In A Much Better Place Than 2023

Tony Khan AEW All In

Tony Khan has claimed the atmosphere backstage at AEW Collision is a lot easier to deal with now rather than a year ago when CM Punk was still there.

AEW is celebrating after a second show in consecutive years at Wembley Stadium as All In ended with Bryan Danielson winning the AEW World Championship to continue his iconic career.

2023’s All In was a huge success for the company but was ultimately overshadowed by CM Punk’s firing from AEW for his part in a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at that show.

Punk only returned to AEW in the summer of 2023 to front the company’s new Collision show which kept him away from The Elite who stuck to appearing on Dynamite.

Tony Khan Faces Easier Process In AEW Without CM Punk

Speaking at the All In media scrum, Tony Khan discussed AEW’s current creative process and without mentioning Punk noted that the environment at Collision is easier to work with so things flow between the Saturday night show and Dynamite:

I frankly think it’s an easier environment backstage at Collision than it was a year ago to do things. I think it’s a lot easier flow between the two shows than it was a year ago. I think the locker room is in a much better place than it was a year ago.

As evidenced by when we came up here versus what happened here a year ago. I think it’s a much easier job I have because I had to deal with the people on Collision last year and it’s a much easier meeting process to put the TV together than it was a year ago at this time.

Jack Perry harked back to his falling out with CM Punk at 2024’s All In as he produced real glass to use as a weapon in his fight for the TNT Title against Darby Allin. Whether anyone cried a river over the glass remains unknown.
