Tony Khan To Make Another AEW Collision Announcement

Tony Khan is a man that loves to make announcements and he has another planned for this week’s AEW Dynamite.

The month of May has been full of announcements for All Elite Wrestling. The company officially announced the debut of its new TV show Collision two weeks ago.

During the May 24th AEW Dynamite episode, Tony Khan officially announced that the first episode of Collision will take place on Saturday, June 17th from the United Center in Chicago. Tickets are on sale for that show now.

It has been an interesting time for AEW because of the expected return of CM Punk, who has not officially been announced for Collision, but he is expected to be one of the biggest stars on the roster.

When CM Punk was brought up during the post-Double or Nothing press conference, AEW’s Owner Tony Khan shut down the question by saying “I am not prepared to answer that question.”

For tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite in San Diego, AEW is promoting yet another announcement from Tony Khan regarding their new Collision show.

That has led to speculation from fans that this could finally be the announcement about CM Punk returning to AEW for that episode of Collision, but it could also provide some information about the rumored AEW brand split that might happen with the debut of Collision.

Veteran AEW wrestler Matt Hardy spoke about the rumored brand

“People want to plan vacations and family time and trips and whatnot and it’s kind of tricky because as of now everybody kind of has to leave everything open.

“So, I’ll be happy when Collision gets here and they kind of have really a good lock on what roster is on Dynamite and what roster is on Collision, there’ll be some guys that float back and forth.”

“I hope it’s a pretty regular schedule so the guys that are involved can live a regular life.”

Find out what Tony Khan’s latest announcement is later this evening on the May 31st episode of AEW Dynamite.
