Tony Khan Addresses Hurricane Ian Situation

Tony Khan AEW

AEW President Tony Khan has addressed the impending hurricane that is set to make landfall in Florida this week ahead of AEW Dynamite.

While Dynamite is due to take place on the 28th of September in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hurricane Ian is still a concern for Tony Khan and his company. Many stars of AEW have made their home in Florida where the hurricane is due to make landfall on Thursday.

Tony Khan took to social media to send a message to those that work for the company that may have missed an email to say attendance at Dynamite is optional for those that might be affected:

“For everyone in @AEW, in case you missed our email, anyone worried about Hurricane Ian affecting your travel or home or your family life, it’s voluntary to come to tv this week. Anyone affected by the hurricane can take care of business at home, & we hope to see you all next week”

Scheduled for Dynamite in Philadelphia so far is Chris Jericho defending the Ring of Honor World Championship against former champion Bandido. AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will also be in action as he faces NJPW star Juice Robinson in an AEW Title Eliminator match.
