Toni Storm Advised Not To Bury WWE After Controversial Comments
Toni Storm has had a wonderful run in Tony Khan’s AEW.
Toni Storm has been dominating the AEW women’s division with her Timeless character and her AEW women’s Championship reign. It’s very clear that she’s having the time of her life working for Tony Khan, and she recently claimed in an interview on The Sandman podcast that she’s “a lifer for AEW.”
While the ex-WWE star didn’t say anything negative about WWE on the podcast, Toni Storm did acknowledge that she’s not cut out to be a WWE superstar and doesn’t see herself returning to the Stamford-based promotion in the future.
WWE Legend Victoria Gives Toni Storm Important Advice
WWE legend Victoria weighed in on Toni Storm’s comments in a recent interview on“The Velvet Ropes” for WrestlingNews.co. She advised the AEW Women’s Champion not to burn bridges with WWE, as one never knows what the future holds and she may have to return to WWE one day.
I love Tony Storm. I love her look. Marilyn Monroe. Super sweet. When you see her at a meet and greet, very thankful, and yeah, I love her. But you never bury a company. You know, we all learn this saying that maybe that’s not the place for me, but every company changes every year. You never know when you’re going to go back or when they’re going to demand Tony Storm to make a comeback to WWE. But you know it’s hard. You don’t want to bash any company, and I’ve learned that lesson.
I’ve done that before. But I think you get very like in your head, going I need to say what I’m feeling right now. But social media is not the platform to go to if I’m angry at the moment. You know what? Let me think about it tomorrow if I feel the same way. You know what I mean? Because you know, social media is so easy to go on a rampage, and you’re going to go the next day. I shouldn’t have said that. (From 16:50 to 17:54)
