Toni Storm Surrenders As Mercedes Mone’s Team Wins Historic AEW Match
Blood & Guts has been a part of AEW for years, and when women entered the twisted structure for the first time, Toni Storm was stopped.
Toni Storm had looked almost untouchable as AEW Women’s World Champion, perhaps never more so than when she became the first AEW star to defeat Mercedes Mone as she retained her title at All In Texas.
However, the Timeless icon’s luck finally ran out at All Out 2025 when Kris Statlander shocked the world and captured Storm’s title. Toni Storm was unable to reclaim the gold at WrestleDream and has now set her sights on becoming one-half of the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions with Mina Shirakawa.
But Storm is now in a dark place.
Toni Storm Saves Partner By Surrendering
On the November 12th edition of AEW Dynamite, women entered a Blood & Guts match for the first time in AEW history as Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and Kris Statlander took on Mercedes Mone, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, Thekla, Skye Blue, and Julia Hart.
The match was every bit as brutal and bloody as previous Blood & Guts matches, but in the end, Mercedes Mone’s squad picked up the win as it all got too much for Toni Storm.
The Triangle of Madness held Storm, forcing her to watch her friend Shirakawa trapped in Shafir’s Mother’s Milk submission. Megan Bayne nailed Shirakawa repeatedly with the TBS Title for good measure, forcing Storm to surrender the match to stop the assault.
After the bout, Marina Shafir made sure to take a couple of shots at Toni Storm herself. If both Shirakawa and Storm, as well as Bayne and Shafir, win their first-round matches in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament, then they will meet in the semi-finals.
