Toni Storm Addresses Rival “Shaking Her Forbidden Door Knockers”
Toni Storm is taking an interesting approach to preparing for Forbidden Door.
On June 30th, Toni Storm will meet Mina Shirakawa at Forbidden Door, after telling the Japanese star that hers is “wide open.” Storm has an extensive history with Stardom from her time in Japan, and the match gives her the chance to test herself against the best the company has to offer in 2024. The bout will also be for Storm’s AEW Women’s World Title.
As she prepares for the clash Storm has been notching up the wins, most recently teaming with Mariah May to see off Leyla Hirsch and Lady Frost on the June 22nd episode of Collision.
However, just days before her big match at Forbidden Foor, things will get a little awkward.
Toni Storm To Team With Forbidden Door Rival
Before Shirakawa and Storm go to war at Forbidden Door they’ll need to team together on Dynamite to see off a common enemy. It’s been announced that the pair will team up with Mariah May to take on Saraya, Harley Cameron, and Anna Jay, in trios action.
In a digital exclusive following Collision, Storm said she and Shirakawa need to be on the same page, for now.
“Mina Shirakawa, you keep shaking your forbidden door knockers but Wednesday, we have a common enemy, so we must all be on the same page. Then, Sunday, I will rip out that page and I’ll burn the whole bloody book… You can go back to STARDOM and say, ‘Remember that 20-year-old blonde girl that used to sweep our floors? Well, she’s now a goddess and she ended my life!”
Toni Storm has held the AEW Women’s World Championship since defeating Hikaru Shida at Full Gear back in November.
