Toni Storm Recalls Wrestling Saraya’s “Violent” Mother

Toni Storm and Saraya on AEW Dynamite

Toni Storm opened up about wrestling Saraya Knight.

As The Outcasts, Toni Storm, Saraya, and Ruby Soho have run roughshod over AEW, feuding with top stars such as Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and current AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida. The partnership between Storm and Saraya will be tested in AEW’s UK debut when they take part in a fatal four way match for the AEW Women’s Championship inside Wembley Stadium.

Saraya and Storm have known each other since long before their time with AEW, both rising to prominence in the UK independent scene despite Storm being a native of New Zealand. Speaking in a new interview with the Daily Star, Storm opened up about wrestling her tag team partner’s mother Saraya Knight, calling the matriarch of the Knight family the “most violent person I’ve ever been in the ring with.”

“When I was in England I would wrestle her mother — who is just the most violent person that I’ve ever been in the ring with,” Storm said. “She had a heck of an influence on me; I’ve been influenced by that family quite a bit actually.”

Continuing, Storm heaped praise on her fellow Outcast,

“I just have always been inspired by her, heavily influenced by her. I’ve watched her, it’s crazy to me that we’re friends, it’s crazy that we’re as close as we are because she’s just someone that I’ve adored for so long,” Storm said about Saraya. “Now we are a team and I get to work with her all the time and I get to see her all the time and it’s wonderful.”
