Toni Storm Has Emotional Reunion With Ex-WWE Tag Champions

Toni Storm recently had an emotional reunion with former WWE tag team champions.

A video shared by Prestige Wrestling’s YouTube page showed the AEW Women’s World Champion sharing space backstage with the IInspiration duo of Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee.

The three women hail from Australia and were on the NXT and WWE main roster at the same time.

They also showcased a strong Australian representation during the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble match, with Storm added as a last-minute replacement for Mia Yim.

During Prestige Wrestling’s Combat Clash on July 13, Toni Storm was part of a meet-and-greet session while also cutting a promo later in the evening.

Meanwhile, The IInspiration competed in a tag team match against Brooke Havok & Elayna Black, which they won.

Storm was then featured with McKay and Lee in a wholesome backstage segment, discussing plans after the show.

Toni Storm And Athena Face Off At NXT Dynamite

After defeating Mercedes Mone at AEW All In: Texas, Toni Storm is set to face a new challenge.

Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena participated in the Casino Gauntlet match at the Texas pay-per-view.

She emerged victorious by pinning Mina Shirakawa to earn herself a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The rivals exchanged words on the latest Dynamite episode, and it was decided that Storm would face Athena’s minion Billie Starkz on the July 23rd edition of Dynamite.

Toni Storm and Starkz have previously faced three times, with the champion emerging victorious on all occasions.

Athena, meanwhile, may have something up her sleeves to win mind games before their big match in the near future.
