Tommy Dreamer Says Former NXT Champion Needs “Better Creative”
Tommy Dreamer has spoken openly about how a former champion in NXT could really use some “better creative” in present-day WWE.
The WWE Draft is a time for WWE superstars to get a fresh start whether they are switching shows between Raw & Smackdown or getting the call up from NXT, it’s an opportunity for something new and fresh. Sometimes it can simply be the presence of a new opponent that makes the difference in somebody’s career. A wrestler that might appear to be “stale” right could be freshened up all over again due to the draft.
During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer named former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler as somebody WWE could be using a lot better.
“One person that I think is legit [that] needs better creative is Shayna Baszler. I think she looks like such a bad***, she is a bad***, and she also has Ronda Rousey with her. I would like to see something more with the both of them… because I saw her body of work in ‘NXT,’ and I was just like, ‘Man, she’s so different.’ I always like different.”
“Whatever brand she’s on, give her a top talent push. Whether she loses or not, I’m not saying she has to beat the person, but she just is so credible and I feel a change is needed for her.”
Shayna Baszler has been with WWE since 2017 and is a former two-time NXT Women’s Champion that had dominant runs holding that title. On the main WWE roster, Baszler is a former two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion with Nia Jax well.
On the WWE.com 2023 Draft list, Shayna Baszler is listed with Ronda Rousey. The duo is eligible to be drafted on tonight’s May 1st episode of Raw.
