TNA Wrestling Gets New TV Deal In Canada
Wrestling fans in Canada will get to watch TNA Wrestling on a channel that used to air WWE content for many years.
The wrestling television and streaming landscape is changing in 2025. The WWE Monday Night Raw program is heading to Netflix in the US and most countries around the world. A lot of countries outside of the US are also getting WWE PLEs, Smackdown, NXT, and retro content on Netflix as well.
AEW will be streaming their shows on Max as well, in addition to airing Dynamite on TBS and Collision on TNT. It’s a good move for people who have cut cable channels.
There is also a change for TNA Wrestling, which airs on AXS TV in the US. In Canada, TNA aired on The Fight Network and Game TV. However, that’s going to change because TNA Wrestling announced that Impact is heading to Sportsnet 360. The following press release was sent out by the company.
TNA Wrestling has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with Sportsnet to air its flagship weekly TV show, TNA iMPACT!, every Thursday from 8-10 p.m. ET nationally in Canada on Sportsnet 360, beginning on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Additional programming to air on Sportsnet 360 includes TNA’s Xplosion, TNA in 60 and other TNA Classics from the 20+ year library, showcasing over 6,000 hours of unforgettable matches and moments.
Sportsnet is Canada’s No. 1 sports network. In addition to being the official Canadian NHL national multiplatform rights holder, and regional broadcaster for the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs, Sportsnet also has extensive coverage of the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors, UFC and much more.
“We are thrilled to bring TNA Wrestling to Sportsnet 360,” said Anthony Cicione, president of TNA Wrestling. “Anchored by our flagship weekly TNA iMPACT!, this partnership is a major step forward for TNA Wrestling as all our fans in Canada can now watch on one of Canada’s largest sports outlets.”
TNA iMPACT! will continue to air on AXS TV and TNA+ in the US, in addition to being distributed internationally on TNA+ and other leading broadcast platforms.
Santino Marella Excited About TNA’s New Home In Canada
The move to Sportsnet 360 should boost TNA’s television audience in Canada since more people are likely to watch that channel compared to The Fight Network. There is also the Sportsnet + streaming service that is popular in Canada.
TNA’s Director of Authority is wrestling veteran Santino Marella, who is also from the Toronto area. Santino posted on social media about his excitement for the move to Sportsnet 360.
Boom! This is huger than huge! And more importantly, I hope it serves as a precedent for what may come in the United States as well!
The TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth also commented on the news with a simple “TNA LFG” (meaning “let’s f’n go”) to show his support for the company.
