Two longtime TNA veterans are set to stay with the company for a while longer. Tom Hannifan and Aiden Rehwoldt recently signed contract extensions, keeping them in their current roles with Impact Wrestling, also known as TNA.

Aiden Rehwoldt first joined TNA as a wrestler. He decided to retire from in-ring competition in early 2022, so he could focus on his new job as a color commentator, replacing D’Lo Brown in the role. Since then, he has become a familiar voice for fans, providing expert commentary during matches.

Tom Hannifan joined Impact Wrestling in January 2022 as the new play-by-play announcer. He replaced Matt Striker and has been calling the action for the promotion ever since.

TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed in an upcoming interview with The Takedown on SI that both Hannifan and Rehwoldt have recently had their contracts extended. However, the exact length of their new deals has not been disclosed.

Silva also confirmed that McKenzie Mitchell will remain in her position as the company’s ring announcer. The Takedown on SI reached out to both Hannifan and Rehwoldt for comment, but neither provided additional details.

Like many other wrestling superstars in the promotion, both Tom Hannifan and Aiden Rehwoldt have WWE backgrounds. Hannifan was known in WWE as Tom Phillips, serving as the play-by-play commentator for shows like NXT, SmackDown, 205 Live, NXT UK, and RAW.

Rehwoldt performed in WWE under the ring name Aiden English and is remembered for his wrestling and singing talents. He is popular for his act in The Vaudevillains tag team and Rusev Day storyline.
