TNA Wrestling To Take Over WWE Performance Center?
Could TNA be on the verge of taking over WWE’s Performance Center after its recent invasion of NXT?
Tensions have been rising around the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA ever since Trick Williams captured the TNA World Championship from Joe Hendry.
Several members of the TNA roster expressed their unhappiness on social media when a double title match between Oba Femi and Trick Williams was made, with both of their NXT and TNA titles on the line.
That match took place on the September 23rd edition of NXT but ended in absolute chaos. Many members of the TNA roster took their seats in the crowd to get a closer look at the action. Mike Santana joined the commentary team, which ended up putting him in the firing line.
Williams ended up getting in Santana’s face and slapping the former AEW star, which led to Santana retaliating. This caused the referee to call the match off due to disqualification before all hell broke loose with the TNA roster invading and battling with NXT stars.
Shawn Michaels has issued a threat to TNA after the invasion, but it seems things could get worse for the NXT boss in the near future.
TNA Coming To Take Over WWE PC?
Fightful Select has now reported that the invasion has kicked off a storyline that is set to run for some time. It was noted that there is no current TV taping scheduled for after Bound For Glory. However, a November taping for Orlando is currently listed without a venue. The report notes that this isn’t an accident, as the storyline is set to continue past Bound For Glory.
Crucially, it was explained that if TNA is planning to run shows out of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, then they wouldn’t be listed on ticketing sites yet.
The report finished off by noting that there has been a specific pitch for Matt and Jeff Hardy to appear as part of the storyline, but it remains to be seen if that will happen.
