TNA Star Backstage At AEW Tapings

Tony Khan AEW Dynasty

Is Tony Khan looking to add to the AEW roster?

While TNA Wrestling has an ever-increasing relationship with WWE, one of its most popular stars has been visiting AEW. According to a new report from Fightful Select, “Speedball” Mike Bailey was backstage at the latest AEW Collision taping on June 20th.

The report notes that Bailey was visiting friends and he was “welcomed backstage” as he has many friends in the company.

Bailey remains under contract with TNA until the end of the year, but it’s no secret there are several companies interested in working with him. Fightful adds the star almost signed with WWE in 2022, but due to hiring guidelines at the time a deal was never put together.

AEW Match Branded A “Mess”

With Forbidden Door just around the corner, the crossovers keep on coming in AEW, but it appears one didn’t go quite to plan. On Collision, Kazuchika Okada defeated Ultimo Guerrero in a match described as a “mess.”

Guerrero was advertised as wearing a mask for the match — despite having lost his in a bout a decade ago. This created a scramble to find a mask for him to wear, and it repeatedly came off during the match.

The report on the taping noted the company was “lucky” the match didn’t air live.
