TNA Star Announces Shock Exit Before NXT Showdown

The TNA roster is now one name lighter just days before they do battle with WWE at NXT Showdown.

After TNA invaded NXT, two Survivor Series-style tag team matches were made, pitting NXT teams against their TNA counterparts.

Bizarrely, TNA’s women’s team will be captained by an NXT star as Kelani Jordan joins The IInspiration and Mara Sade to face NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Lola Vice, Jaida Parker, and Sol Ruca.

The men’s match pits TNA World Champion Trick Williams, NXT Champion Ricky Saints, Je’Von Evans, and Myles Borne against Mike Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater.

Laredo Kid Says Goodbye To TNA

One TNA star not involved in this action has now revealed that they’re no longer with the company. Taking to social media, Laredo Kid said goodbye to the promotion but kept the door open for working together again in the future:

Thank you for everything to this great company and family @ThisIsTNA. I appreciate your tremendous support. I hope to return to work in the future. We’re on a new path.

Laredo Kid first appeared in TNA in early 2024, and during his time working in the promotion, he captured the now-defunct TNA Digital Media Championship. He’s not been seen in TNA since May 2025, but he appeared on the recent Worlds Collide as part of a huge eight-man tag team match and will continue his career in AAA.

NXT Showdown will also see Mustafa Ali claim an NXT North American Title shot against Ethan Page and TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys facing NXT Tag Team Champions DarkState in a winner-take-all match. Two WWE Hall of Famers will be on hand to get a very close look at that match.
