TNA Slammiversary 2025 Results – AJ Styles Appears
TNA Slammiversary 2025 featured several huge title matches, including Trick Williams facing Joe Hendry and Mike Santana, plus WWE’s AJ Styles made a return to the company.
This is a results post for the TNA Slammiversary PLE taking place at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.
The commentary team was Tom Hanifan and Matthew Rehwoldt. The ring announcer was McKenzie Mitchell.
For the PLE, there are seven advertised matches, along with the return of TNA legend AJ Styles, who has been away from the company for over a decade. There were three pre-show matches.
* TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships – The Elegance Brand (Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance) (c) (with M by Elegance and The Personal Concierge) defeated The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay) by pinfall. M interfered with a Torch on Lee, and Ash hit Rareified Air off the top rope on Lee for the win.
* The Home Town Man defeated Eric Young (with Judas Icarus and Travis Williams) by pinfall. Home Town Man countered a piledriver and sat on top for the win.
* Fourth Rope (Real1, Zilla Fatu, and Josh Bishop) defeated Steve Maclin, Jake Something, and Mance Warner (with Steph De Lander) by pinfall. Real1, who used to be known as WWE’s Enzo Amore, hit Eat Defeat on Jake for the win.
TNA Slammiversary Results
A singer named Brianna Laughlin sang the national anthem to start the PLE. There was a video package to set up the show.
Match #1: Mustafa Ali (with Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Tasha Steelz) defeated Cedric Alexander by pinfall. Alexander kicked out of a 450 Splash and Ali kicked out of a Lumbar Check. Steelz was ejected, went back into the ring and Alexander hit her with a Lumbar Check. Ali hit a 450 Splash right after that for the win.
Joe Hendry was interviewed backstage. Joe was confident that he would win back the TNA World Title.
Match #2: Matt Cardona and The System (Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, and JDC) (with Alisha Edwards) defeated Darkstate (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James) by pinfall. Cardona hit Radio Silence on Shugars and Edwards hit the Boston Knee Party on Shugars to get the win over NXT’s Darkstate group.
Match #3: Indi Hartwell defeated Tessa Blanchard (w/Victoria Crawford) by pinfall. There were “She’s a racist” chants for Tessa during the match. Indi hit Hurts Donut into the ropes and Hurts Donut into the mat for the win.
Indi Hartwell was asked what’s next. She sounded like she was going to mention the Knockouts Title, but Tessa Blanchard interrupted by attacking Indi. The interviewer, Gia Miller, tried to stop it, so Tessa attacked Gia with punches and sent her into the steel steps. Security stopped it before it went further.

The Director of Authority Santino Marella yelled at Tessa Blanchard for her attack on Gia Miller. Santino said there will be consequences for what she did. Santino told security to eject Tessa from the building, so Tessa was carried out the door.
The Elegance Brand was backstage celebrating their win. The IInspiration showed up to argue with them and said they would even the playing field.
Match #4: Winner Takes All match for the TNA Knockouts World Championshipand the NXT Women’s Championship – Jacy Jayne (w/Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) defeated Masha Slamovich by pinfall. Jayne used her friends at ringside to cause chaos and Jayne hit Masha with the Knockouts Title to the head, but it only got a two count. Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee fought with Henley and Nyx to take them away from ringside. Masha hit a Snow Plow, but Jayne accidentally superkicked the original referee, so another referee went into the ring and it was only two. Jayne hit the Rolling Encore forearm smash for the pinfall win.

The TNA President, Carlos Silva, presented Jacy Jayne with the NXT Title and the TNA Knockouts Title. Jayne celebrated while Silva wasn’t impressed.
Eric Young was upset about his loss on the pre-show. Young yelled at Judas Icarus and Travis Williams about it. Young said that things are going to change and there’s going to be a cleanse. Young said you’ll either be on board or get lost.
The attendance was 7,623 people. It is the biggest crowd in North America in TNA’s 23-year history.
Match #5: X-Division Championship – Leon Slater defeated Moose by pinfall to win TNA X-Division Championship. Moose hit a Spear for a two count. Slater hit a Blue Thunder Bomb and a Spear. Slater hit a Swanton 450 Splash for two. Moose hit a Spear to counter a springboard move. Slater hit Code Red on the floor. Slater hit a Swanton Bomb off the top and then the Swanton 450 Splash again for the pinfall win. Slater is the youngest X-Division Champion ever. Slater is 20 years old and will turn 21 in September. There was a big celebration for Slater’s win.
Leon Slater was presented with the X-Division Championship by Carlos Silva. Moose got up and put the title around Slater’s waist.
AJ Styles made his entrance to his classic TNA theme song. The fans cheered loudly for the TNA legend. They were singing AJ’s song. Styles congratulated Slater on the win.
AJ Styles did a promo. Styles: “TNA, did you miss me?” Styles spoke about how it’s been a long road, but he’s back to where his name was built as the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles. AJ said the lights are brighter here, the crowd is lighter here and Leon, the talent is better than it’s ever been. The fans chanted, “You Deserve It” for Slater and Styles told Slater that he earned it. Styles praised Slater as the youngest X-Division in TNA history. Styles said guys like Slater make people like Styles love what they do. The fans chanted, “One More Match” so Styles said he wanted to talk about Leon and we’ll get back to that. Styles said Slater showed it’s not about weight limits, it’s about no limits. Styles mentioned TNA greats who helped make the X-Division great like Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Homicide, and others, and he said Slater is the future. Styles told Slater the next step is to make his legacy. They shook hands and Styles raised Slater’s hand. AJ Styles walked to the back after that. There was no angle or anything like that. The fans cheered loudly for Styles during his segment.
Match #6:Ladder Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships – The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) defeated The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth), The Rascalz (Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz), and. First Class (A. J. Francis and KC Navarro) by Jeff Hardy, retrieving the titles. The ladders all around the ring were broken, so Jeff pushed a button on a device and a ladder was lowered from the roof. The Hardys hit their versions of Twist of Fate on The Nemeth Brothers. Matt held the base of the ladder and Jeff climbed up to retrieve the Tag Team Titles. It was a unique ending to the ladder match. There were a lot of crazy bumps and many broken ladders.
The Hardys celebrated the win because they are now 4-time TNA World Tag Team Champions.
Bully Ray of Team 3D made his entrance to confront The Hardys in the ring. Bully congratulated The Hardys on another title win. Bully mentioned that 25 years ago at the Royal Rumble, The Hardys and Dudleys had a Tables Match and they stole the show. Bully said that both teams went on to greatness. Bully said there is always talk about who is the greatest tag team of all time? Bully said we can all agree that the greatest tag team of all time is the Road Warriors. Bully spoke about how this is about giving the last great tag team match of all time. Bully said this is about something that can never happen again. Bully said at October’s Bound for Glory, it’s The Hardys against Team 3D in one last match. The fans were chanting, “Where is Devon?” Bully said at Bound for Glory, you’ll hear it one last time: “D’Von, get the tables.” Bully shook hands with both Hardys. The Hardys celebrated to end it.
It was announced that Bound for Glory will take place on Sunday, October 12th at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
A panel was on the stage, making picks for the main event. Santino Marella announced Tessa Blanchard has been suspended indefinitely. Frankie Kazarian interrupted to claim nobody has done more for TNA than him. Frankie said he’d do some commentary for the main event.
Match #7: TNA World Championship – Trick Williams defeated Joe Hendry and Mike Santana to retain the TNA World Title. Kazarian pulled the referee out of the ring when Hendry was going for a pin attempt. As Hendry battled Santana in the ring, medical staff checked on Trick on the floor. Hendry hit a Standing Ovation on Santana for two. Santana hit Spin the Block (discus lariat) twice in a row for just two because Trick was back in the ring and he threw Santana out of the ring. Trick covered Hendry for the win. Trick was faking a knee injury.

Trick Williams was handed the TNA World Title by TNA President Carlos Silva, who looked sad about it. Mike Santana looked dejected in the ring. Trick celebrated with the TNA World Title.
