TNA President Vows Company Will Not Slow Down

TNA President Carlos Silva has promised his company won’t slow down amid suggestions that a new TV deal is in the works.

Santino Marella recently claimed TNA was one TV deal from being the number two wrestling company on the planet. A claim that had many impressed that he was sticking up for his company, as well as baffled by just how untrue the claim is, given AEW’s current TV deal.

A current partnership with WWE has many questioning just how independent TNA really is, especially as the top two champions in TNA Wrestling are currently WWE-contracted stars in Trick Williams and Kelani Jordan.

Despite all of this, Carlos Silva says TNA is not planning on slowing down its momentum anytime soon.

TNA Can Still Make Stars

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Carlos Silva, who has been TNA president since December 2023, said that his company has its goals and is not planning on slowing down:

It’s very important that we do everything we can for our fans. WWE is at the top of the space and sport, but we have our own place in wrestling. We have a lot of goals to accomplish, especially with the best fan experience.

We have some great minds in the company, like Eric Tompkins, Tommy Dreamer, and Ross Forman. We brought in sports executives for production and marketing, too. We’re bringing best practices from sports and applying them to our live events. It’s a team that is pulling all together, and that makes a big difference. It’s been a great nine months, but we’re not going to slow down.

Silva continued, noting that his company is one that can continue to develop stars:

We have a lot of goals. We can develop young stars. Joe Hendry is a great example. I know he wrestled elsewhere, but TNA provided a platform for him to reach new levels–then you saw him at WrestleMania. TNA is a place for young stars like Leon Slater. It’s a place for legends like The Hardys and stars like Eric Young, Nic Nemeth, Matt Cardona, and Frankie Kazarian–and I could go on and on.

TNA and NXT will face off in a huge showdown with two massive tag team matches set in the battle for brand supremacy.
