TNA Legend Among Those Shockingly Fired By Company
One of the most important figures in TNA Wrestling history has been fired.
TNA Wrestling has undergone significant changes since Scott D’Amore was fired as company president in early 2024 shortly after the company left the “Impact Wrestling” name behind.
Since then, several high-profile names have left the promotion, and even the man who replaced D’Amore has also departed. In February, it was reported that several TNA stars were let go because it was felt they were overpaid, with the blame placed firmly at former boss D’Amore’s door.
In recent months, the likes of Jordynne Grace, Josh Alexander, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, PCO, Trent Seven, Christy Hemme, and Josh Matthews were among those to leave, with Grace later admitting D’Amore’s removal played a role in her own exit.
Gail Kim Fired By TNA
In a twist that has shocked the entire industry, it’s been announced that Gail Kim has been fired. The TNA legend has been let go alongside Ariel Shnerner, Rob Kligman, and Michael Shewchenko.
Kim originally joined the promotion as an in-ring talent in 2005 after a two-year spell with WWE. Over the next decade via another two-year stint with WWE, Kim played a key role in establishing the Knockouts division as the best women’s division in North America.
After being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2016, Kim began to work backstage as a producer and a member of the creative team. The star is widely credited with helping change the perception of women’s wrestling across the industry.
As reported by Jon Alba, one top TNA star described Kim’s departure as “a major loss, especially for the women’s division.” He added that the seven-time Knockouts Champion was “universally beloved” by talent and those backstage.
