TNA Exit Led To Kevin Nash Quitting The Company

Kevin Nash Names Two WWE Superstars Who Shouldn't Work Together

Kevin Nash ended his run in TNA Wrestling because of another WWE Hall of Famer choosing to leave the company.

The wrestling career of Kevin Nash saw him gain his biggest recognition with WWE and WCW as a World Champion in both companies. However, Nash was actually in TNA Wrestling for seven years, which is longer than the time he spent in either of those other two companies.

Nash started in TNA in late 2004 and his most significant run took place as part of the Main Event Mafia stable in 2008-09. However, by January 2011, Nash was ready to move on and he left the company.

At the 2011 WWE Royal Rumble, which was the only one that had 40 participants in the match, Nash entered as #33 wearing his classic Diesel gear. Nash as Diesel drew a huge pop from the crowd while the wrestlers in the ring were stunned to see him there. Nash wasn’t the only WWE legend making a return that night because two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was also back “home” that night as well.

Kevin Nash Wanted Out Of TNA After Booker T Left

While speaking on his Kliq This podcast, the man known as “Big Sexy” reflected on what led to his TNA departure.

“I think…I mean I worked hard there. I was in good shape. I think the Main Event Mafia thing could have been, that was money. They let [Booker T], it was a bad move to let Book go. Once Book left, I said, ‘F**k it, I’m bolting.’ I heard Book was gonna be at that Royal Rumble, I said, ‘S**t, not without me.’ So I died my s**t black, went out there…”

What Nash referred to as “my s**t black” he was talking about his hair because he was back in WWE as Diesel and that meant he was in the black hair/beard look as well.
