TNA In “Active Negotiations” For New TV Deal
There’s been some good news for TNA Wrestling.
Back in August, it was reported that TNA Impact could move to Wednesday nights to go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite. With media rights negotiations well underway, it was claimed that Impact could move to a “WWE-associated network” before making the switch.
If that wasn’t enough, an additional report claimed that WWE “has an option” to purchase TNA at any point during an undisclosed period. It’s believed that the sports entertainment giant also has first refusal on any other offer to acquire TNA.
In a new interview with TV Insider, company President Carlos Silva gave an update on the process, revealing that TNA is now negotiating with a single partner.
“We’re now in active negotiations with a partner, and we’re going to work through that. I can’t really put a timeline on how long that will take. The good news is the process has started. We’re no longer just talking to a bunch of people to sort of gauge interest.
Now we have an interested partner and working through potentially a deal for 2026.
It’s going to happen as soon as it can happen. We were working on it as recently as yesterday, exchanging papers and trying to figure it out. We’re excited about it and keep pushing it forward to get this over the finish line. It’s done when it’s over the finish line.”
Joe Hendry Still With TNA
Speaking elsewhere, Carlos Silva denied that Joe Hendry is now “with WWE” following comments from Robert Roode on a recent episode of NXT. In a backstage segment, Roode suggested it was time for Hendry to focus on winning the NXT Champion now that he’s part of the brand.
Silva said he was “caught off guard” by the line from Roode as Hendry remains with TNA, “until he’s not.”
It was recently reported that Hendry is being phased out of TNA in the closing months of 2025 as he’s expected to officially sign with WWE in early 2026.
