TNA Hall Of Famer Leaving The Company
A TNA legend is leaving the company even though he plans to keep on wrestling.
At the TNA Bound For Glory PPV in Detroit, hometown hero Rhino was inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame after a long run in the company. Tommy Dreamer, who works behind the scenes in TNA, did the induction for Rhino due to their long history together in ECW and WWE.
During his multiple runs with TNA Wrestling, Rhino held the NWA World Heavyweight Title and also was a two-time Tag Team Champion. Rhino has been a key part of the roster since 2019 in his current run and had other extended runs before that.
In a message posted on his Facebook account, Rhino stated that he was leaving TNA and his last ever match would be at the December 14th tapings in Atlanta.
“Tomorrow is my last day with TNA Wrestling. I am wrestling Ryan Nemeth. It will most likely be the last time EVER I will wrestle in a TNA ring.
If you can make it to Center Stage in Atlanta, come and be part of this 5 year chapter of my life and our journey. Thank you to all of the amazing wrestling fans for your support.
I’m not done wrestling but TNA and I have parted ways.”
Since the Rhino-Nemeth match is being taped at the television tapings, it could air next week on the Impact television show.
While working for WWE, Rhino was known as Rhyno and had multiple runs in the company from 2001 to 2005 and again from 2015 to 2019.
Joe Hendry Earns Shot At TNA World Title
The final TNA PPV of the year was Final Resolution featuring Nic Nemeth beating AJ Francis to retain the TNA World Title.
In another big match on the show, Joe Hendry won a four-way match to earn a shot at the TNA World Title. That Nemeth-Hendry match for the TNA World Title will take place at Genesis on January 19th.
