TNA Forced To Reschedule TV Tapings
TNA Wrestling has had to change its plans due to a massive storm in the United States.
The current format for TNA Wrestling shows is to do live PPV/PLE shows nearly every month and then tape weeks of TV ahead of time. Sometimes they have two days in a row of tapings covering four weeks of television.
There were going to be television tapings in Spartanburg, South Carolina starting on Friday, September 27th and concluding on Saturday, September 28th. However, Hurricane Helene, which became Tropical Storm Helene made her presence felt in the southeastern part of the US with a massive storm.
It has been reported that at least 64 people have died due to Hurricane Helene, which has had a major impact in multiple states including Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and other areas as well. Many people have lost their homes and have been without power for days.
Due to the storm, TNA rescheduled their television tapings for this Sunday, September 29th, and Monday, September 30th, but TNA announced on social media and their website that those tapings were canceled.
Due to the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Helene, TNA Wrestling is canceling both shows scheduled for Spartanburg, S.C.
The safety and well-being of our TNA wrestlers, staff, crew and fans are top priority.
TNA will provide an update on refunds for the Spartanburg shows, as well as an update on future/additional shows.
We wish the best to everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Fightful Select reports that since TNA does to tape new content soon, they may hold some upcoming tapings at Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennesse where they taped during the COVID-19 pandemic era without fans at shows.
As for this week’s episode of TNA Impact, Fightful reports that this week’s episode of television could end up being a “best of Bound for Glory” show since they won’t have new content to show.
TNA Bound For Glory Main Event Set
On the September 26th edition of TNA Impact, Joe Hendry faced Frankie Kazarian in a number one contender’s match where the winner would be granted a TNA World Title shot at Bound Glory.
While a determined Kazarian did all he could to win, the popular rising star Hendry found a way to win the match, much to the delight of the fans.
That means that at Bound for Glory on October 26th in Detroit, Nic Nemeth will put the TNA World Title on the line against Joe Hendry in a matchup of two of the company’s biggest babyfaces.
