TNA Champion Debuts At WWE Royal Rumble
WWE is clearly open for business and now one TNA champion has crossed the forbidden door to compete at the Royal Rumble.
The Royal Rumble is always full of shocks and surprises and this year proved to be no different as the thirty-woman Rumble match saw TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace compete for a spot at WrestleMania.
Grace captured the Knockouts Title for the third time in her career at Hard To Kill when she defeated Trinity for the gold. Grace was introduced as a TNA champion and used the same theme music as she does in the company where she usually plies her trade.
This was Grace’s WWE debut and the star entered the match at number five where she came up against Naomi who made her shock return to WWE as well. Grace was eventually eliminated by Bianca Belair following a KOD on the ring apron.
Jordynne Grace Not The First TNA Champion In Royal Rumble
Incredibly, this is not the first time a reigning TNA champion has featured in the Royal Rumble match. In 2022, Mickie James was the reigning Knockouts Champion when she entered the women’s Rumble match at number 20, lasting almost twelve minutes before being eliminated by Lita.
It wasn’t a wasted trip for James however, as she got to settle an old score with Michelle McCool sending her old rival over the top rope.
