Bizarre Ending To TNA Bound For Glory Match Causes Confusion

TNA Bound For Glory is in the books, and one match left the crowd scratching their heads.

TNA took centre stage with its biggest show of the year, Bound For Glory. Several huge matches were made, with some continuing the ongoing saga between the promotion and WWE NXT. Leon Slater put his X Division Title against NXT’s Je’Von Evans, but the end of that match left fans in the arena and watching at home furious at the outcome.

But rather than anger, another match on the card left fans confused.

Co-Winners Named In Major TNA Match

At Bound For Glory, the Call Your Shot gauntlet took place, with the winner guaranteed a title shot anywhere, any time. Frankie Kazarian forced his way into the match when he took out Jody Threat as she made her entrance. This proved pivotal as, after a referee was taken out and another entered in their place, both Kazarian and Nic Nemeth were declared the winners of the bout. Both referees counted each man out in a double pin situation.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella, who was also in the match – despite him making the matches in the company and therefore able to give himself a title match whenever he wanted anyway – decided to name the men as co-winners and will both be able to call their shot for a title shot in the future.

Later in the night, Mike Santana captured the TNA World Championship from NXT star Trick Williams to bring that title home.

However, both Nemeth and Kazarian tried to waste no time in cashing in their gauntlet prize. Nic Nemeth was first to confront the new champion, but he was taken out by the returning Elias. Kazarian was stopped when he was not in possession of the trophy and therefore couldn’t cash in. He was then flattened by Santana anyway to put a stop to that.

The Dudley Boyz also signalled their retirement as they handed over their boots after they battled The Hardys in One Final Table match.
