TNA Boss Carlos Silva Denies Joe Hendry Is “With WWE”
Joe Hendry is still will TNA. For now.
Starting in mid-2024, Joe Hendry began appearing on WWE television as the relationship between the sports entertainment giant and TNA grew closer and closer. As a result, Hendry has featured regularly on NXT, as well as competing at the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 41.
On the September 16 edition of NXT, Robert Roode even suggested that it was time for Joe Hendry to focus on the NXT Championship.
This was followed by a further report that noted that the Scottish star is being “phased out” of TNA as his expected move to WWE inches ever closer. That report claimed that Hendry is expected to become part of WWE full-time in early 2026.
Interestingly, Hendry is also missing from NXT x TNA Showdown on October 7, meaning he isn’t involved in the four-on-four Survivor Series elimination tag team match, which is set to top the card.
Joe Hendry Remains With TNA, Until He Doesn’t
In a new interview with the Battleground Podcast, TNA President Carlos Silva was asked about Hendry’s status. He said he was surprised by the comment from Roode because Hendry’s still with TNA, at least for the time being.
“That is correct. Yeah, it caught me off guard when he said it as well. So yes, he is, and he is until he’s not. He is. Joe has been great for us. Joe’s been great with WWE and NXT. We’ll continue to work through that together as good partners do.”
Back in May, it was reported that it’s a “lock” that Joe Hendry will sign with WWE when his TNA contract expires.
