TNA Agent Wishes Tessa Blanchard Issued Public Apology
Tessa Blanchard deserves a second chance according to one ex-WWE star who now works behind-the-scenes in TNA.
In early 2020, Tessa Blanchard was the subject of several allegations of bullying and racism, which included claims she spat at La Rosa Negra before calling her a racial slur. However, La Rosa Negra shared a picture with Blanchard in 2023 indicating she had forgiven her.
With a lack of public apology, however, the situation has dogged Blanchard since which is why many were surprised when Tessa Blanchard made her shock return to TNA. Reports suggested Jordynne Grace pushed back against working with Blanchard but it looks like that is the feud TNA wants as Blanchard attacked Grace during her return.
Lance Storm Wishes Tessa Blanchard Had Issued Apology
Speaking on Figure Four Daily, TNA agent Lance Storm was asked for his reaction to Blanchard’s return to the company given her past and said he thinks people deserve a second chance:
I’ve always liked Tessa. I first met her at an NWA FanFest convention thing, one of the ones I did with Les back in the day in Charlotte I think. So I’ve known her for a long time, worked with her briefly in her last and my first TNA run.
I do think at some point people deserve second chances, I don’t know if mistakes, no matter how bad you make when you’re young should follow you the rest of your life. So I’m hoping it will work out both for her and everyone and we’ll see how things go.
When asked how Tessa Blanchard was received backstage in TNA, Storm noted he only saw positive encounters but thinks she should have issued a public apology a long time ago:
The thing is, it’s wrestling, everybody’s going to react professionally and if you’re against it, you probably just would avoid her so I only saw positive responses and interactions but again, most people don’t want to make a scene so if there were people who weren’t happy about it they kept quiet so all I saw were positive reactions and clearly she’s a very talented worker.
I think I said this before, I think she would have been smart to apologise, say I was young and stupid ages ago because people have been forgiven much less faster. But not issuing that apology made it drag out for a longer period of time. Again do people deserve a second chance at some point? I’d like to think so.
