Vince McMahon is gone from TKO and now the company has confirmed his resignation in writing.

Vince McMahon is no stranger to controversy but he is now fighting the biggest battle ever to salvage his reputation. Vince McMahon has been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a bombshell new lawsuit that also names former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.

Slim Jim threatened to pull sponsorship from the Royal Rumble after the lawsuit came to light. As a result, Vince McMahon resigned from his position as Executive Chairman of TKO.

TKO Confirms Vince McMahon’s Exit

Now the confirmation of McMahon’s resignation has been made in a statement to the US Securities and Exchange Commission which read:

On January 26, 2024, Vincent K. McMahon notified the board of directors (the “Board”) of TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (“TKO”) of his resignation from his positions as Executive Chair and a member of the Board, and any other positions, employment or otherwise, he has at TKO and its subsidiaries, in each case, with immediate effect as of January 26, 2024.

Unlike his brief resignation in 2022, it doesn’t look like McMahon will be able to force his way back into the company on this occasion. At the beginning of 2023, Vince McMahon leveraged his position as majority shareholder of WWE to regain power but now the company is ultimately run by Endeavor, McMahon is no longer the majority shareholder nor does he have voting power that could see him return.
