Title Match Added To WWE WrestleMania 41 Card

A championship match has been added to WWE’s WrestleMania 41 lineup after a controversial finish to a recent match.

The WWE World Tag Team Titles were on the line on the April 7th edition of Raw as The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) defended the gold against The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods.

It was a competitive match between the two teams that ended in controversy. In the final moments of the match, Woods brought a chair into the ring, Ivar took the chair away, and Ivar hit Woods in the ribs with the chair. The referee was standing right there, so the War Raiders were disqualified, but they remained the champions since you can’t lose titles by disqualification.

After the match, The New Day dominated the War Raiders with the steel chair and other weapons at ringside. There were WWE Officials who showed up to put an end to the chaos.

That controversial finish made a lot of fans think that it would lead to a rematch at WrestleMania 41. That thought was right because Raw GM Adam Pearce announced on social media that The War Raiders will defend the World Tag Team Titles against The New Day at WrestleMania 41.

By the time WrestleMania 41 arrives, The War Raiders will have held the World Tag Team Titles for over 120 days, which is four months.
