Major Title Match Confirmed For SummerSlam On WWE RAW
Another major title match has been added to the WWE SummerSlam card.
Dominik Mysterio has been out of action for several weeks due to a rib injury. Although he was scheduled to fight AJ Styles in an Intercontinental Championship match at Night of Champions, the bout was scrapped because of Dirty Dom’s condition.
Since then, The Phenomenal One has remained adamant about getting his title match as soon as Mysterio is cleared to compete. The latter has been using a doctor’s note as a shield to prevent Styles from laying a hand on him over the past few weeks.
Last Monday on RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce finally told Dirty Dom that he would undergo a medical examination this week to determine whether he would be able to defend his title at SummerSlam against Styles.
Dominik Mysterio will compete at WWE SummerSlam
Since the start of tonight’s RAW episode, AJ Styles has chased Dominik Mysterio around the arena, disguising himself as a valet, a janitor, and even a medical staff member.
Meanwhile, Adam Pearce repeatedly asked the Intercontinental Champion to head to the doctor’s office for the examination, but Dirty Dom kept stalling.
The RAW General Manager eventually threatened to strip the Judgment Day member of his title if he did not comply. Reluctantly, Mysterio followed the order.

Later in the show, Pearce and Styles were seen asking the doctor about Mysterio’s condition when the champion suddenly ambushed The Phenomenal One. Mysterio then declared that he had been medically cleared and that he would see Styles at SummerSlam.
