“Timeless” Toni Storm Says Famous Match Was A “Horrible Ordeal”

“Timeless” Toni Storm has too many highlights to choose from.

Starting in July 2024, Toni Storm and Mariah May spent the next eight months going to war. The one-time friends became vicious enemies after May won the Owen Hart Cup, and a violent assault on Storm in the minutes after winning the tournament set the tone.

At All In, May defeated Storm to win the Women’s World Championship, but lost it back to the “Timeless” star in February.

This set up one final clash at Dynasty dubbed the “Hollywood Ending.” The match was another stunningly vicious affair and ended with Storm standing tall once more. The match ended up being May’s last in AEW, and she now wrestles in WWE under the name Blake Monroe.

“Timeless” Toni Storm Reflects On AEW Run

During a new interview with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture ahead of All In, Storm was asked to name some of her favourite AEW moments.

“I don’t have a favorite. There have been so many scenes. So many films. So many moments. I couldn’t possibly pick one,”

When Storm asked Salcedo to name her favourite moment, she named the Hollywood Ending at Revolution. In response, Storm described the match as a “horrible ordeal.”

“I’m glad someone enjoyed it. I didn’t. Horrible ordeal. I’m glad it’s amusement for someone.”

“Timeless” Toni Storm will be back in action at All In on July 12, where she’ll defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Mone. The challenger earned her place in the match by winning the Owen Hart Cup.

Storm, the only four-time Women’s Champion in AEW history, has made three successful defences since reclaiming the title at Grand Slam Australia.
