Tiffany Stratton Defending WWE Women’s Title On SmackDown

Tiffany Stratton WWE Title Women

The WWE Women’s Title will be on the line as Tiffany Stratton defends the gold against a former champion on SmackDown.

Tiffany Stratton has been the WWE Women’s Champion since the first SmackDown episode of 2025 when she cashed in Money in the Bank on her former friend Nia Jax.

After becoming the WWE Women’s Champion, Stratton made it clear that she wasn’t some dumb blonde. Instead, she became an ally of Jax so that Jax could trust her and when the opportunity arose, Stratton cashed in the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase and became the champion.

During an interview segment on WWE SmackDown in Memphis, Women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair mentioned Stratton as a possible WrestleMania opponent. That led to Stratton confronting Flair to say that she wanted Flair to pick her because Stratton has been compared to Flair and Stratton wanted to prove she was better.

The cocky Flair said that Stratton was like a child begging Flair to make her a star at WrestleMania. Flair told Stratton to get on her hands and knees to beg Flair to choose Stratton.

That’s when former WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax showed up. Jax informed Stratton that she will challenge Stratton for the WWE Women’s Title on the February 14th edition of SmackDown. Stratton has previously successfully defended the title against Bayley, so she’ll have to do it against Jax if she wants to carry the gold to WrestleMania.

Tiffany Stratton Became A WWE Superstar Because Of Charlotte Flair

Following Charlotte Flair’s Royal Rumble win, Tiffany Stratton did an interview where she talked about how her mom saw Flair on WWE TV and thought that Stratton could do well as a WWE superstar too. That led to Stratton making her way to WWE and over the last four years, she has become one of the top women in the company.

“She’s definitely one of my inspos. She was actually the one my mom saw on the TV screen and kind of inspired my mother, who then inspired me.

If I am face-to-face with her on Friday and she does pick me, I hope she picks me. I feel like my entire career, I’ve always kind of been told that I’m the next Charlotte Flair or I’m a wannabe Charlotte Flair, and sure, she inspires me, but I’m not a wannabe Charlotte Flair.

If she picks me at WrestleMania and when I beat her, I’ll no longer be the next Charlotte Flair. I’ll be the Tiffany Stratton.”

It has been rumored that Tiffany Stratton will face Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, but nothing is official yet.
