Tiffany Stratton Admits She Didn’t Know Top WWE Star Until Last Year

Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax’s friendship only started last year.

Stratton’s storyline with Jax in WWE began in mid-2024. Shortly after, Tiffany Stratton won the Money in the Bank contract and later cashed it in on Nia Jax on the January 3, 2025, episode of SmackDown to capture the WWE Women’s Championship.

The rivalry quickly intensified as Nia Jax sought revenge, attacking Stratton numerous times and challenging her for the title. The storyline also featured tag matches where The Buff Barbie teamed with Trish Stratus to counter Jax and her partner, Candice LeRae.

One of the highlights of their feud came in a Last Woman Standing match on the June 27, 2025, episode of SmackDown, where Tiffany Stratton successfully retained her title over Jax, bringing the intense rivalry to a climactic conclusion.

Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax Became Good Friends on a Flight

Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Tiffany Stratton revealed she got acquainted with Nia Jax only a few months before their storyline program started on TV and didn’t know who she was before that. She revealed they were on the same flight to Australia for Elimination Chamber Perth 2024, and that’s where they became really good friends.

I love Nia so much. I can’t put her over enough. The first time that we really got to know each other was on the flight to Australia. She immediately sat down next to me. I didn’t even know who she was, but she sat down next to me and we bonded for like 19 hours straight, and we made TikToks.

We talked about all the drama in our lives, and we immediately just like clicked, and ever since then, we’ve been attached at the hip, and she’s just been so amazing to have around. She gives me amazing advice. I’ve learned so much from her. So yeah, like I said, I can’t put her over enough. She’s amazing. (From 9:23 to 10:03)
