Tiffany Stratton Skips Over “Sad” Criticism From Ex-WWE Star
Tiffany Stratton has little time for one famous critic.
Since turning her hand to pro wrestling, Tiffany Stratton has taken WWE by storm. The star only wrestled her first match in November 2021, but she’s already a former NXT Women’s Champion, Money In The Bank winner, and current Women’s Champion on SmackDown.
However, not everyone is enjoying Tiffy Time.
Speaking on a recent episode of her podcast, Mandy Rose called out Tiffany Stratton over the use of the phrase “Put some respect on my name.” Rose regularly used the phrase in promos during her WWE career and was less than impressed when Stratton did the same on SmackDown.
“Tiffany Stratton, used my slogan, ‘Put some respect on my name.’ To be honest, I wasn’t even watching it. I got so many tweets about it, and I was like, ‘What is going on?’ and I saw the clip, and this b***h even used the same kind of tone.
I was like, ‘Hold on a second, I thought we were cool.’ I put her over here. Listen, we can admire each other, we can respect, we can look up to, but we can’t take our words from each other…
So congratulations to Tiffy, but don’t use my words, honey. We make that very clear, but that’s okay. I commend you, and I think you’re doing amazing, so I’ll put you over, but again, don’t use my words.”
It should be noted that neither woman has ownership of the phrase nor is behind the rise of its use in popular culture.
Tiffany Stratton Hits Back
During a new interview with DS of Ring The Belle, Stratton was asked about the comments from Rose, and it’s fair she won’t be losing any sleep over the bizarre issue.
“Honestly, I think it’s a little sad that she felt the need to go on her podcast and say something like that. I wish her the best. Honestly,”
Speaking elsewhere, Many Rose recently admitted she has “unfinished business” in wrestling and again left the door open for a return. However, she made it clear she’s enjoying life out of the ring and has no immediate plans to wrestle.
Fresh off her win at the Royal Rumble, it’s been announced that Charlotte Flair will be heading to SmackDown on February 7. According to several recent reports, Flair is scheduled to face Stratton for the Women’s Title at WrestleMania, although an official announcement is yet to be made.
Men’s Rumble match winner Jey Uso will also be on the show as he assesses his options ahead of the WWE spectacular.
