Tiffany Stratton Details Post-Match Exchange With Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair is proud of Tiffany Stratton.
At WrestleMania 41, Tiffany Stratton successfully defended the Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. However, the match appeared to suffer from several clunky moments, while the build-up was dominated by a series of off-script controversies.
During one segment, fans felt Flair talked over Stratton in an effort to assert her authority, while a week later, in a face-to-face, the pair disregarded the script entirely and traded a series of personal insults. Although the promo battle got fans talking, those within WWE described it as a “wreck,” and it was reported there was heat on both women for their actions.
But despite those issues, it seems both women are now ready to move on.
Charlotte Flair And Tiffany Stratton Cleared The Air
In a new interview with Alfred Konuwa, Stratton revealed she and Flair cleared the air to a degree after their WrestleMania match.
“Yeah, me and Charlotte, of course, after the match, it’s kind of like a sportsmanship thing, you know. We said ‘good game,’ and she said she’s proud of me. But yeah, everything’s good.”
When asked whether there was a moment leading up to the match where she felt you should “never meet your heroes,” Stratton admitted things got too personal.
“Yeah, of course. I felt that things got personal, and it’s live TV, things happen. But, I feel, like, everything happens for a reason and this is how things were supposed to pan out.”
Following WrestleMania, Charlotte Flair claimed it might be time to change her on-screen character to become more relatable. Flair said she wants to bring more of her real-life persona to her Charlotte character to give fans something more to connect to.
The former Women’s Champion admitted “Charlotte” is often too perfect and too pristine, and this means fans struggle to separate that character from who she is in her day-to-day life.
