Why Tiffany Stratton Is Not Medically Cleared In WWE

Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton has been pulled from a major match, but what has caused the WWE Women’s Champion to not be medically cleared?

Tiffany Stratton, Stephanie Vaquer, and Rhea Ripley all recently returned to NXT, where they confronted NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Fatal Influence.

That set up a huge six-woman tag team match for NXT Homecoming, where many of the brand’s former stars will return when the show emanates from its spiritual home of Full Sail University. DIY will be in action against TrickMelo, and The Grayson Waller Effect will also feature. But now it seems, Tiffany Stratton won’t be there after all.

NXT General Manager Ava announced Tiffany Stratton had been pulled from the match and replaced with another former NXT Women’s Champion in Lyra Valkyria. Stratton is said not to be medically cleared, so what has happened to the WWE Women’s Champion?

Tiffany Stratton Injured On SmackDown?

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez gave more insight into what the likely cause of Stratton’s injury was:

Tiffany apparently did not get cleared after SmackDown, and the most likely spot was a moonsault off the post in the championship match with Jade Cargill, where she smashed her head on the ground. This was right before the finish, and they both got counted out.

You could see the referee was talking to her, and then Nia Jax was scheduled to do a run-in and attack both of them. If you watch it, she barely touched Tiffany; she did the lightest Annihilator of her career and was clearly trying to protect her. But she did not get cleared, so she’s out of the match, and Lyra is in.
