Tiffany Stratton Admits She Was Nervous Going Into WWE Evolution

Tiffany Stratton beat another “GOAT” of women’s wrestling at WWE Evolution, and she has given her thoughts on what it was like competing at the event.

The second-ever women’s only Evolution PLE took place in Atlanta with several huge matches on the show. The event was well-received by critics and fans alike, with many people calling it one of the better WWE PLEs of the year.

One of the big title matches at Evolution was between the WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and the WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, who many people believe is one of the best women’s wrestlers in WWE history.

Even though Stratus is more than 20 years older than Stratton, the WWE legend put up a fight. However, Stratton managed to get the win with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. After the match, Stratton left the ring while Stratus soaked up the cheers from the fans. It’s not known how many more matches Stratus will have, but Stratus sounds like she wants to keep wrestling.

As for Stratton, she has been WWE Women’s Champion for over 190 days, which means she has passed the half-year mark. While speaking to WWE – Die Woche, Stratton reflected on her big win over Stratus while also mentioning some of the other big wins this year.

“Oh, that whole weekend, I was so nervous. Obviously, Trish Stratus, she is the GOAT. She’s one of the greatest of all time, and you know, I’ve beat what you could argue (is) a current GOAT, Charlotte Flair. So, I had the confidence going into this that I had beat Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania and then I had just beat Nia Jax a couple of weeks ago in Saudi Arabia so going into that, I had some confidence.

However, Trish Stratus, she’s one of the greatest of all time and she’s a generational talent so, going into this, I wanted to have fun, but I also wanted to show Trish I’m not someone you can just mess with. I’m the next GOAT, I am becoming the GOAT of GOATS so, once I beat her, it was just such a surreal moment.

That crowd was amazing at Evolution. I can’t believe the audience there. They were behind every single match, they were so supportive. All in all, that day was just so fun and it was amazing.

Tiffany Stratton Hopeful That WWE Evolution Returns

The WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton continued to reflect on Evolution by making it clear that she wants to see the event return in the future. The first Evolution show was in October 2018, which was three years before Stratton started wrestling.

“Every single woman delivered on that PLE and I saw some people saying that it was probably one of the best PLEs that we’ve had in the past couple of months so, that is so amazing, especially when the PLE is filled with just women. So, I’m super proud to be on Evolution 2 and I hope that there’s an Evolution 3.”

Next up for Tiffany Stratton is a WWE Women’s Title defense against the Queen of the Ring, Jade Cargill, at WWE SummerSlam on August 2 and 3.
