Tiffany Stratton Learns Who Next WWE Women’s Title Challenger Will Be

Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton will defend the WWE Women’s Championship against an opponent she knows very well from her past.

On the first episode of WWE SmackDown in 2025, Tiffany Stratton cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Nia Jax to become the WWE Women’s Champion for the first time.

Since then, Stratton has defended the Women’s Title against all comers, including Charlotte Flair. At her first WrestleMania, Stratton beat Flair at WrestleMania 41 in a very competitive and physical match.

There are a lot of top contenders in the women’s division, so Nia Jax faced Jade Cargill on SmackDown in Dayton in a match where the winner would receive a shot at the WWE Women’s Title.

Tiffany Stratton was at ringside watching the Jax-Cargill match. Cargill’s rival Naomi made her way down to ringside, and she punched Stratton. Naomi also sent Stratton into the steel steps. Cargill left the ring to look at Naomi, so Jax knocked Jade down and hit a senton splash on Jade. Jax hit an Annihilator splash on Jade for the pinfall win.

That win by Nia Jax means that she’ll challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Title. The company didn’t announce when that title match will take place.

Charlotte Flair Is Proud Of Tiffany Stratton

In the weeks leading up to their WrestleMania 41 match, Tiffany Stratton and Flair had problems due to multiple promo segments that went “off the rails.” Flair wouldn’t let Stratton talk during a promo, so Stratton fired back the following week by mocking Flair for being divorced three times.

After the match, Stratton revealed that things were good between the two women while Flair offered her younger rival some encouraging words.

“Yeah, me and Charlotte, of course, after the match, it’s kind of like a sportsmanship thing, you know. We said ‘good game,’ and she said she’s proud of me. But yeah, everything’s good.

Yeah, of course. I felt that things got personal, and it’s live TV, things happen. But, I feel, like, everything happens for a reason and this is how things were supposed to pan out.”
