Tiffany Stratton’s Shocking Next Challenger Revealed On WWE SmackDown

Tiffany Stratton With Womens Title WWE

Tiffany Stratton is preparing to battle a familiar face.

On the August 22 edition of SmackDown, Jade Cargill teamed with Tiffany Stratton to beat Nia Jax and Becky Lynch in Dublin, Ireland.

Fast forward seven days, and Cargill confronted Stratton backstage, telling her that she was the new number one contender for the Women’s Title because she pinned Jax. Stratton said that Cargill should be thanking her as she was the one who set up the win.

Tiffany Stratton recently beat Jade Cargill at SummerSlam to retain the gold.

Elsewhere on SmackDown, Sami Zayn beat Solo Sikoa to become the United States Champion for the first time. Sikoa had held the gold since vanquishing Jacob Fatu back at Night of Champions in June.

The show also saw Kiana James make her SmackDown in-ring debut, only to be defeated in seven seconds by Michin. The latter will now challenge Giulia for the Women’s United States Championship.

Tiffany Stratton Happy With Jade Cargill Match

During a recent interview, Tiffany Stratton defended her SummerSlam match with Jade Cargill in the face of criticism online.

Despite Cargill’s best efforts, she became the latest woman to fall victim to the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, in a little over seven minutes. And while fans weren’t necessarily upset with the result, some felt the match should have lasted much longer given that SummerSlam was spread over two nights for the first time ever.

However, Stratton said that as their storyline wasn’t “life or death,” going into the event, the match was everything it needed to be. She added that she was “really pleased” with how it worked out.
