Tiffany Stratton Cements WWE Babyface Turn

After a shock title switch on the first SmackDown of 2025, it seems there’s a new top babyface on WWE’s blue brand.

Tiffany Stratton won the Money In The Bank contract back in July but her path to gold was complicated when her close friend Nia Jax captured the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

Since then Jax has urged Stratton to cash in her briefcase on the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at every turn but Stratton appears to have been playing 3D chess while everyone else was playing checkers and her plan unfolded on the first SmackDown of 2025.

Tiffany Stratton interfered as Nia Jax defended her title against Naomi on that show, nailing Naomi with her briefcase and allowing Jax to retain her gold. Candice LeRae had been at ringside for Jax and she ended up being taken out by Stratton while Bianca Belair appeared to hit Jax with her KOD. Tiffany Stratton cashed in her contract to beat Nia Jax and win the WWE Women’s Title.

Now on the January 10 edition of SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton seemed to cement a babyface turn as she told the world that cashing in on Jax had been the plan all along. Nia Jax soon interrupted Stratton along with Bianca Belair, Bayley, and Naomi.

General Manager Nick Aldis made a four-way number one contender’s match later in the night between Jax, Belair, Bayley, and Naomi. That match was won by Bayley and she will clash with Stratton on the January 17 edition of SmackDown.
