Thunder Rosa Addresses In-Ring Future Ahead Of Collision Debut
Thunder Rosa has provided an update on how much pain she’s in ahead of her return to the squared circle.
A number of talent not seen in an AEW ring are set to return to the company with the launch of Collision on Saturday, 17th June 2023. Those includes the likes of Miro, Andrade El Idolo and Scorpio Sky, as well as the much-publicized return of CM Punk.
Also in the same category is Thunder Rosa, who has been included in plenty of the advertising material for the company’s new weekly offering. Rosa has been sidelined with injury for the best part of a year, although it would now seem she could be nearing a return.
In a discussion with NBC Chicago, Thunder Rosa discussed how she is now pain free, and that has been one of the most important parts of her recovery.
It’s going pretty well. Things are going as they’re supposed to go. I am super happy that I’ve been pain-free. That was the most important part. I think it took forever.
I think everybody’s expecting me to give them news, but I am working out every day, trying to get back into the ring as soon as possible, and if it’s possible. That’s what I’m trying to do.
Continuing on, Thunder Rosa discussed her pursuits outside the ring during her recovery period, and hinted that she would be happy if her role wasn’t necessarily an active one.
I’m just open for anything that can happen in my career. I’ve always said after the injury that I suffered and reflecting on everything that has happened in the last nine, almost ten months, I’m really open for anything.
I’ve discovered many facets of my career, such as being a commentator, such as being a radio host, a singer, a vlogger, always creating something new. For professional wrestling, I don’t think (it) will be any different. I will be happy no matter what happens for my career.
Although a number of stars are set to be part of AEW Collision, the only match slated for the event at the present time is CM Punk teaming with FTR to take on the combination of Samoa Joe, Jay White and Juice Robinson.
