Three WWE Stars Invade TNA (Spoilers)

There are three wrestlers under contract to WWE who made their presence felt at TNA tapings.

Over the last couple of months, there have been interactions between TNA wrestlers and WWE superstars from the company’s NXT brand. Jordynne Grace, the TNA Knockouts Champion, challenged NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez for her title. That match also saw Ash By Elegand (former Dana Brooke in WWE) get involved as well.

Meanwhile, the likes of Frankie Kazarian and Joe Hendry competed in an NXT battle royal. It has also been reported that TNA’s Hendry is likely to return to WWE NXT in the future based on his backstage interaction with the NXT boss Shawn Michaels.

Grace has also had to defend her TNA Knockouts Title against NXT’s Tatum Paxley as well.

TNA Wrestling held a taping on Friday, June 28th in Philadelphia where they recorded content that will air over the next month. At those tapings, three new NXT wrestlers appeared in TNA.

During a match between Leon Slater and Trey Miguel, NXT’s Charlie Dempsey of the No Quarter Catch Crew showed up to attack both guys. Dempsey also beat up Zachary Wentz. When the referee tried to stop Dempsey, Charlie slammed the referee as well.

Later in the taping, Charlie Dempsey beat Zachary Wentz in singles action. Myles Borne, who is part of Dempsey’s No Quarter Catch Crew group in NXT, interfered to help Dempsey get the win.

Who Did TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace Beat During Taping?

Jordynne Grace was also in action at the taping as she defended the TNA Knockouts Title in an open challenge. Rather than facing a woman who works for the company, NXT’s Izzi Dame answered the challenge. This was Dame’s first match outside of WWE since she was signed as a former Eastern Michigan University volleyball player. Grace defeated Dame in their match while Dame commented on social media that she loves a challenge.

At the Total Nonstop Action PPV called Slammiversary on July 20th, Grace will defend the Knockouts Title against Ash By Elegance, who is getting her first title shot since joining the company.

There will be another Total Nonstop Action TV taping tonight, June 29th, in Philadephia where more NXT stars could appear.
