Third AEW Star Struck Down By Injury
The injury curse has struck AEW yet again.
Shortly after the April 2 edition of Dynamite, it was reported that Jay White had suffered a legitimate injury and would require surgery. The report came after White was attacked and left injured by the Death Riders (In storyline) during the show.
White had been due to take part in the Owen Hart Cup, but his place has been taken by Kevin Knight who’ll face Will Ospreay at Dynasty.
Less than 24 hours later, a further report confirmed that Orange Cassidy is believed to be dealing with a pectoral injury, although the severity of the issue remains unknown. It’s unclear exactly when or how the star suffered the injury, but he hasn’t wrestled since competing in a Four-Way Match against Mike Bailey, Ricochet, and Mark Davis on March 19.
Third AEW Star Injured
It’s now been reported by Fightful Select that Mark Davis has also been struck down by injury. The star suffered the issue during his match with Powerhouse Hobbs on the March 26 edition of Dynamite, and the bout was brought to an early end.
Davis only returned to action in late 2024 after missing 12 months of action.
Sources in AEW “felt horrible” for Davis, highlighting how hard he’d worked to get back to full fitness.
